Community Listening Sessions
Why Are We Doing This?
These group conversations are designed to bring Meadowview residents together with CapRadio journalists to discuss their hopes and concerns as we head toward the 2020 elections.
What questions or needs do Meadowview residents have to support their ability to vote, and how can our reporting help? We want to listen and understand the issues that are important to you, and then get the answers you need to vote with clarity this election.
We know the pandemic and racial equity are on people’s minds, but what about rent control, the 'strong mayor' initiative or where city council candidates stand on local issues? Or do you even need clarity on who's running for office? We want to hear from you.
What to expect
This is a different type of conversation, one focused on sharing personal experiences and information needs rather than positions on issues.
We'll record the conversations so we can bring your voice into the stories and resources we produce.
These conversations will shape our election coverage but we'll continue reporting on what we hear after November. Everyone is welcome, regardless of immigration status or ability to vote.
