Community conversations in Boston

LVN welcomes all of Boston to listen, learn, speak and be heard. What do you love about your neighborhood? What are its greatest challenges? Join us and share your thoughts and stories about life in Boston.

LVN has partnered with the Boston Public Library to record conversations across Boston about the local issues that matter.

Upcoming Events

The best way to learn about LVN is to attend an event and experience what a LVN conversation feels and looks like. Here are some upcoming events in December:

Local Voices Network: What is it? Orientation and Demo Training__

  • Weds, December 11th, 6-8 pm at the Egleston Branch
  • Thurs, December 12th, 2-4 pm at the Egleston Branch

Join if...you are interested in learning more about LVN and are considering how our model might support your library branch, coalition, or community, but aren’t exactly sure how it all works and you have some questions.

Conversation Facilitator Training

Sat, December 14th, 2-5 pm at the JP Branch

Join if...you are interested in leading a LVN conversation in your library, organization or community! You don’t have to have facilitation experience to participate, and if you do, we are excited to learn from your practices. We will go over all the technology that makes LVN tick, and offer core facilitation skills that you can use beyond this work.

Community Conversation: Egleston Branch

Weds, December 18th, 6-8 pm at the Egleston Branch

Join if...you are interested in participating in an LVN conversation, and potentially in bringing the model and technology to your library or community.
